On Friday February 24th, at approximately 5:00pm, Rescue Engine 18 and Chief 18A were alerted to the 9900 block of Elm Street in the first due for the house fire. While responding communications advised they were receiving multiple calls for a house on fire with possible people trapped. The working fire was transmitted. The RE arrived to find a 1 story single family dwelling with fire showing from the front of the house. a mayday was declared for two firefighters trapped from a partial ceiling collapse. The mayday was quickly cleared and the fire extinguished.
