On May 20th, 2021 at approximately 6:50pm, while enroute to a reported gas leak, Public Safety Communications began receiving multiple calls for a reported structure fire with entrapment in the 4400 Block of Cape Cod Cir. Battalion Chief 882 made the call to reroute units to the structure fire. Volunteer Duty Chief Riley was first arriving and reported a 2 story middle of the row town home with fire showing on all levels. Due to heavy fire conditions on side alpha, First arriving Paramedic Engine 848 treated a 2 1/2″ stack tip to side Charlie and began knocking the fire while Rescue Squad 806 began an aggressive search. Rescue Engine 18 arrived and stretched a backup line to Division 1, continuing to knock down heavy fire moving up to Division 2. With the aggressive attack. and all searches yielding negative results the incident was scaled back after an hour.
