On July 13th, 2021 at approximately 8:00am, Tower 18 and surrounding companies were alerted to respond to the 9900 block of Greenbelt Road for an apartment fire. Tower 18 was the first arriving unit and found a fire in a first-floor apartment and rescued one victim through a bedroom window. A total of two citizens were transported to teh hospital for evaluation. Investigators determined the fire was accidental and caused by an unattended cigarette.
